In the last post we had, we gave you a three-day sample menu that you can follow on your diet period. In this post, we are giving you the suggested food that is right for your diet program. We have divided the foods into two groups. The first group of foods is the foods that are allowed for the balanced diet while the second group is the foods that are not allowed for the balanced diet.

Foods that are allowed:

Protein-rich foods for vegetarian:

  • All legumes, preferably with skin and membrane
  • Vegetarian meats such as tokwa (Tufo), gluten, vegemeat, vegesausage
  • Nuts

Protein-rich foods for non-vegetarian:

  • All fish, preferably those with scales and fins
  • Lean meat:Beef, poultry, veal

Carbohydrates

  • All cereals and grains (unrefined)
  • Tubers or root crops
  • Noodles, pasta

Fruits

  • All fresh fruits with skin and membrane

Vegetable

  • All fresh vegetable with seeds and membrane
  • Dark green and yellow leafy vegetable

Fat-rich foods

  • Vegetable oil (seed and nut oil)

Beverages

  • Fresh fruit juices
  • Whole milk, skim milk, soy milk

Foods not allowed in Balanced Diet Program

Protein-rich foods for non-vegetarian:

  • Pork
  • Shellfish
  • Internal organs

Carbohydrates

  • None

Fruits

  • None

Vegetable

  • None

Fat-rich foods

  • Animal fat

Beverages

  • Coffee, Tea
  • Cola drinks
  • Alcoholic beverages
