This is first time that a sitting president join the news-and-gossip show The View. Program anchors asked the president several questions in different serious topics to Snooki and Twitter. The president mentioned his limitation of his pop culture knowledge. Joy Behar also asked the president if Mel Gilson has to manage his anger, and he stammered without any answer.
After a while, Obama said, “I haven’t seen a Mel Gibson movie in a while.”
Joy Exclaimed, “But the tapes!”
“I haven’t seen them,” Obama replied seemed unaware of the obscene tapes are audio recordings.
At the end of the conversation, Obama admitted that “some 20-year-old” is responsible for updating his twitter account, his ignorance concerning the identity of who and what Snooki is. Obama laughs and concluded “I gotta admit, I don’t know who Snooki is.”
