Melody Gersbach, make-up artist, and her driver died in a car accident in Camarines Sur last Saturday morning, August 21, 2010 when her van was heading to Naga City Camarines Sur, Philippines was crashed by a Bus coming from the opposite direction to over take the other vehicle going to Legaspi City direction.

To the Land Transportation Officials of our nation and to all bus companies and bus drivers. Do we have to lose so many precious lives because of your corruption? Your greed? Your incompetence? How many hellish accidents have to happen before you to wake up and realize that this is an easy problem to solve? It’s so simple guys, all you have to do is put the safety of people first (a.k.a. following rules) and then for sure the money will come to you. Why do we have to lose such a beautiful and wonderful young lady in such a terrible way? Why do have to lose ANYBODY this way?
And to think that just yesterday President PNOY was berating that bus company who was blaming “faulty bus brakes” for the Benguet bus crash that took the lives of it’s passengers. Please Mr. President, I know today is the death anniversary of your father, the great Ninoy Aquino so you must be feeling the pain. It’s the same pain, only fresher for the family of Bb. Pilipinas International 2009 Melody Gersbach, her friends and fans. Please don’t stop until our bus system is fixed. There is no other person on earth we can turn to but you. Please Mr. President, do something about this stupid problem in our country.
