You are reading "Bland Diet". Today is Friday, 3rd February 2012.

Bland Diet-also called CAP or Caffeine, Alcohol, & Pepper Free Diet, provides foods that do not irritate the digestive system. It is a diet that does not increase acid production in the stomach. Food that stimulate CAP must be avoided.

Things you must do:

  • Avoid foods that contain caffeine, alcohol, and pepper.
  • Eat in a relaxed manner. Do not be in a hurry when eating.
  • Eat at a regular interval.
  • Avoid being stress. Stress increases gastric secretion in the stomach.
  • Know your digestive system. Eat only the food that are easily digested by your system such as fresh fruits and vegetable. Whole cereals, nuts, and grains may negatively affect some patients.
  • Avoid spicy foods such as instant noodles, Kimchi, chips, spicy nuts, sauce, and fatty foods. These foods cause discomfort and irritation to our digestive organ.
