Based on the information we found, the post says, “Lumabas na pala ang results ng USTET, walang thrill kasi madali lang naman nun….walang kasing hirap kaya sulit ang paghihintay!”. In this comment, both College Entrances Tests were being compared and UPCAT is much better than the other.

The said post was immediately removed from the fanpage however, many have already got the copy of it and have posted on their own blog and the news spread over the social sites and on twitter which is currently trending locally.

Following the removal of the said “ruthless” post from UPCAT is an apologetic message telling that UPCAT does not mean to hurt anybody most especially from UST.

THE UPCAT PAGE is trying it’s very best to let UST and it’s students know that we are very sorry of our actions.

This will not go anywhere if we keep bashing each other, but will just make this issue even bigger.

If you think that what you will say will further increase the aggravations of both sides, I humbly plead you to not post it here since it will just defer the intention of peace between both sides.”

This time I want to share with you my experience in getting new passport from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

Yesterday was our appointment to visit DFA to apply for new passport for my son and my wife and also to renew my passport.

Getting passport 4 years ago was not easy compare to this year. If you are getting or renewing your passport today, the steps are easy to follow and the requirements are just few, however, DFA is more strict than before. I don’t know exactly when was the new system of getting and renewing passport, biometric system, started.

Thinking that the process was the same, we really prepare a lot of thinks like passport ID picture, NBI clearance, etc as these were the things you needed to get a passport 4 years ago.

With the latest procedure, you do not need any ID picture as your picture will be captured upon encoding of your data. Below are the steps you must follow:

1. Before going to DFA, you have to get online appointment. Enter the correct information about yourself when getting online appointment.
2. Complete the online appointment and print the appointment form with your data.
3. Prepare the necessary papers and requirement like Birth Certificate, NBI Clearance if new applicant, Valid ID or Old School IDs, Marriage Contract for married woman.
4. Come to DFA at least 30 minutes before the appointment time.
5. Confirm your appointment at gate 1 (DFA Macapagal Ave.)
6. Queue on the line at the waiting area.
7. Proceed to Data verification which is the proper STEP 1 in getting passport. You will be asked which processing method you want to avail. Rush (P1,200 for 10 working days or Regular P950 for 20 working days). The teller will then give you the official receipt you will present in the cashier in STEP 2.
8. After your data and documents are verified, proceed to the payment section. Just prepare your money and the receipt from STEP 2. Pay the processing and,
9. Get your line number for the final step which is the Data encoding and picture taking.

Passport processing is now very easy and powered with the latest technology and biometrics.

Both renewal and new passport application will undergo the same step.

I already got a lot of comments regarding SONA of Pnoy and most are negative. Many disagreed and was not satisfied with the latest SONA of Pnoy. Some said, Pnoy has not done his part and not implemented his promises to the Filipino people.

As president, Pnoy had promised his countrymen and would have done something for the country but not everything would be accomplished at the same time. One commentator said that we can still give Pnoy a chance since it was only his first year in the office. He might do something better in the next few months of years.

PRC–Licensure Examination for Teachers April 2011 LET Passers Registration Starts on Monday.

This is to inform all April 2011 LET passers that the registration starts on Monday, May 23, 2011 until June 1, 2011 only. All passers are required to register in the PRC National region office between the dates mentioned above.

All successful LET examinees must personally register and sign in the roster of registered professionals at the 3rd floor PRC annex bldg., Sampaloc, Manila and  required to submit the following:

1. Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
2. Current Community Tax Certificate (CTC or cedula)
3. 2 pcs 2X2 and 1 pc 1X1 colored picture with white background, and complete name tag
4. Two documentary stamps for the Oath Form and Board certificate

On his announcement last night, Barack Obama said Osama Bin Laden died during the last US ground operation in Pakistan and the body was recovered. The US authorities has confirmed the death Osama Bin Laden last week.

It took a week for the US to finally announce the defeat of the most wanted fugitive and considered as the world’s prime terrorist as the Mastermind of the terrorism attack in the United States in September 9, 2001. Why does US announced the death of Osama a week later than the actual body recovery?

Many are again doubting of this news as there were news before of the death of Osama but all were hearsay and there was no actual body recovery.

To make sure that there is no more doubt on its proclamation, the US government did not announced the said death of Bin Laden right after the defeat. Maybe at first they also had doubt if the recovered body was Osama’s.

There were speculations that this May 2, 2011, Monday is a regular holiday in celebration of the Labor Day in the Philippines. Employees are asking if the said date is a Regular Holiday as what the usual thing that happened in the past years during the Arroyo Administration when all holidays were adjusted when they fall on the weekends.

Presidential Spokesman, Edwin Lacierda said that May 2 is a regular working day and the employees shall be paid based on the regular daily salary rate. Labor Day is celebrated on Sunday, May 1.

To answer the demand on the labor force and to give additional employment, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is conducting the yearly Job Fair that is participated by many companies to give job to all the job seekers. This is the job and livelihood program of the DOLE and the present Government.
