Do injury free exercise with these tutorials

Posted on 03 February 2012 by Kate

So you have finally made up your mind to stay in shape. But be careful because if you suddenly jump to a whole new exercise plan then the results could leave you with a damaged body rather than the fitness you had desired. The risk of injury always lurks around when over-exercising. Following are the ways to avoid such a happening.

1. Knowledge about your body

Before you set an exercise plan it is very important that you know about your physical limitations. Doing too much too soon can reverse the effects, leaving your body prone to injuries. Analyze your weak spots and go slow with them. Pushing too far isn’t going to benefit you in any way. Remember it’s the slow and steady who wins the race.

2. Gender difference

Women are more prone to anterior cruciate ligament injuries in comparison to men who are much better at rigid plane of motion activities. Studies also suggest that injuries are common in women particularly during their menstrual cycle because of the looseness present in the joints. Staying careful during this period is on the advice list.

3. Eat right

When there is a lack of proper nutrition then the results are low concentration level and quicker tiring process. Bread has carbohydrates that can work as fuel for your exercise regime. After a gap of two hours following your work out regime it’s important to eat again.

4. Rest

Microscopic injuries are a part of physical exertion. So the aches that come after a heavy work out plan are a result of those microscopic damages. Take up different muscle groups based on different days. The resting period in the middle will help your body recover.

5. Right technique

When undertaking some new moves, its best to get a hold on the correct technique so that you can minimize the chances of injury in the long run.

6. Go up to a trainer

Take a few initial work out lessons through a professional trainer who will recommend you about the pace and regime of your exercise plan. Professionals know what works for you and they would definitely advise you about everything.

7. Use the best of equipment

To avoid dangers associated with old and faulty equipment, pick the best of equipment.

8. Building the foundation

Begin with foundation building. This includes core stability, strength, flexibility and cardiovascular fitness. Before taking up strenuous sports go for the foundation workouts first.

9. Check your health

Take a health screening test before jumping into any physical activity. This is important to rule out conditions linked to life threatening diseases like cardiac arrest.

10. Environment matters

Don’t exercise during haze if you are asthmatic. Another example would be to avoid a hilly area run if you have a sprained ankle. Be careful when choosing the terrain.

11. Warm up

Take some time out a practice some warm up moves before getting into action. Flexibility plays an important role when it comes to preventing muscle damage due to strains.

12. Hydration

Consume ample of fluids including water to stay hydrated. Sweating is an intricate part of exercising and the loss of body fluids can result in stressing out. If your exercise plan spans within an hour then you can rely on plain water but if it’s of over an hour then its best to consume isotonic fluids that hydrate and energize your body.

Deliver Your own Landscaping Style

Posted on 07 September 2011 by RichardOliggetii

Determine what I love about getting the garden all cleaned up, it stays that way for significantly more time than once you get your house all cleaned up.

A growing number of individuals are turning to landscaping their gardens, not just planting a tree here as well as a shrub there but searching at their garden as they would appear in the inside of their property. Much more thought as towards the all round look and appeal and just how crops can compliment each other.

The outcomes are quite satisfying. There’s so a lot help as well if you are not assured within the planning, your nursery, great landscaping publications, Tv and radio reveals as well as the World wide web are all there waiting to manual you.

Be cautious with guides, make sure the e-book is for your area and the vegetation recommended for any design are suitable for your component with the globe.

It’s enjoyable to get a graph pad and do your own design, give it a try and you can shock oneself.

1 term of assistance, should you obtain plants through the large chain retailers and they’ve been in air- conditioning or within a constructing even with the shade fabric inside/outside design of shop, in no way get the plant home and place it inside the garden straight away.

Just take about 3 weeks acclimatizing the plant. Preserve the plant inside or on an enclosed patio and steadily over the three week interval, boost the outdoors time and reduce the within time. Doing it using this method you might have a greater chance of the plant surviving and increasing right into a stunning specimen for you.

You can fairly usually pick up some bargains within the plant department, doing the acclimatizing can conserve you funds.

Gardens like every thing else has developments. These tendencies generally adhere to the inside decor developments. This is a good thing as the outside as well as the within will compliment one another.

If your house is cottage type, then a backyard along the cottage lines would look great and you would possess the flowers to adorn your house to include to the look. A contemporary minimilistic interior then a minimal no fuss landscaped garden.

Landsscaping and gardening can enhance your pressure levels also. Feeling a little stressed about something, consider oneself out into your garden and potter, suggestion prune, pull out a few weeds, h2o a few vegetation, separate a few clumping plants and pot up for later Give your self at least a 50 percent hour and feel the tension go.

Functions for me, hope it does for you personally also.

Landscaping and gardening, wonderful!!!!

Pinoy Biggest Loser – An Honest Review

Posted on 04 September 2011 by Noah Mark

I’ve been watching the Pinoy Biggest Loser reality series on ABS-CBN lately because of the fact that I can’t find anything worth watching on TV late at night. To those who don’t know the origin of the show, it came from the NBC produced reality series in the US – The Biggest Loser, which debuted in 2004. The show was an instant hit and the franchise was brought to many countries such as Australia, United Kingdom and recently here in the Philippines. Certainly a big morale boosting program for people who are considered obese.

Like many other copy-cat programs of this giant TV network, the Pinoy edition Biggest Loser didn’t disappoint to the masses, becoming an instant hit and raking up good TV ratings. Because of this, can we safely say that there are good number of Pinoy population that are obese? If you are one of people who are struggling to fight against weight gain and wanted to get some weight loss tips from the show, then I suggest that you read this article first because I am about to give my honest review on why you should or not do everything you see on this particular late night program.

So let me first commend the coaches Chingay and Jim which are both known fitness gurus and I personally seen Chingay before in my previous employer’s night party and boy, she was so hot back then (I don’t appreciate her skinny body today because quite frankly, she is obsessed with body fitness way too tight).  I have no idea if the workouts and various training being given to the contestants came personally from the coaches, but I do believe that some of these activities came directly from its original platform – The Biggest Loser US.

I will not be talking about the contestants here because I hardly remember any of them except for WinWin who is a very funny girl. Since its a reality show, the contestant are all guaranteed heavyweights! Some of them already lost an amazing 60 pounds since the start of the show, which in my view are very fast results in a short period of time and you also have to consider their initial weights.

If you may notice, their workouts and other activities are very strenuous and difficult for people who are extremely fat. These activities includes running a couple of kilometers, weight lifting and many other crazy activities. Since the show requires each contestants to lose weight in a very limited time, they were obliged to do these activities. The result was an outstanding weight reduction. But are these techniques really applicable to all people?

In my opinion, all of these activities being applied in the show were unhealthy and inappropriate. You can’t just rush people to lose weight in a very fast pace just because of the prize money involved. You can see in the faces of the contestants that they were exhausted, out of breath and even close of an heart attack whenever they perform any of these crazy practices.

True enough that over exertion can produce our heart muscles to contract and may result to unexpected heart attack. Other known danger includes heat stroke, muscle strain, nerve damage, hernia, back problems, vomiting, purging, shortness of breath and asthma. Plus, since the contestants wanted to lose more weight, they tend to control their cravings and hunger which leads to various mental disorders. This includes orthorexia, panic attacks, anxiety, depression and even food binging. So are the activities you see in the Pinoy Biggest Loser advisable? In my view it’s certainly not.

In the US, previous contestants of The Biggest Loser who lost a high volume of pounds due to the show’s training and hard activities, dramatically blown back to their natural weight stature. What does it mean? It means that the contestants are not really for fitness but for the fame and prize money. The weight loss was just temporarily administered because of their body’s metabolism capabilities or they simply have no real interest in having a fitter and healthy body. This scenario is very possible to the Pinoys participating on the show.

Whether you agree with my assessment or not, it’s your right to critic this article especially if you are a fan of the show. Honestly speaking, I am not a critic but I am a health advocate and I love sharing information to others and of course express my own opinions. The reality show however produced quality dieting advice from some of the best nutritionists and dieticians in the country. After all, the show is not really that bad.

In summary, you can’t rush weight loss. It does not just involves physical effort and dieting, but it highly requires time to successfully lose weight naturally. If you force yourself to dieting and various exercises without any planning and proper training, you could end up gaining more weight or even much worse such as serious health conditions. If you really want to lose weight, take your time and consult a nutritionist and a fitness expert that can show real interests and concern to you.

Friendster to Close and Delete All Users Vital Information, Photos, Blogs, Comments, and Profiles on May 31

Posted on 27 April 2011 by Bob Roberto

Friendster announces to close all its users profile, photos, comments, blogs, etc.

Nine (9) years in the industry, one (1) day to be deleted from the world wide web. Friendster which is located in Mountain View, California, United States is going to close on May 31, 2011 and friendster is giving its users time to back up their photos, profile, blogs, comments or other stuffs in their account.

You were probably a big fan and user of Friendster but when you log on to your account, you suddenly see the notice a message that says “Click here. Save/download or export your current information before May 31.” What does this message mean? Why does friendster gives this warning to their users and advice them to back up their account information? Will friendster be soon to close?

Friendster is not going to close totally. The message that appeared on your account panel is only a warning so that you can make necessary action to save your memories upload in your friendster because friendster is going to have new feature and even more than just a social networking sites. Friendster management said that friendster is going to focus on gaming by the end of May this year. Since facebook is dominating the world of social networking, the retreat of friendster in the social networking world does not mean they already concede and let their biggest rival, the facebook social network.

Although, I can not conclude on what really happened but I still believe the reason why friendster is going to change their feature is to seek for innovation and see other target market.

Below is the screen shot on how to export your friendster file and save to your PC.

Posted on 24 April 2011 by Bob Roberto

If you are looking for best recipes this Easter Sunday, Hard Boiled egg recipe is your best alternative aside from its relevance to the Easter Sunday celebration, the Easter Egg Hunting, it is also the simplest and easiest menu to prepare.

There are several ways to make Hard Boiled Egg. Preparing Hard Boiled Egg is as easy as ABC yet it is indeed one of the world’s finest and easiest edible delights with just 70 calories, full of most important proteins our body needs.

Making Hard Boiled Egg does not mean you just boil the egg in a boiling water and done. Below, we are going to teach you how to boil egg that will be easy to peel and get your desired look for your egg this Easter Sunday. Before doing so, take note that extremely fresh eggs will not peel easily for example eggs that are one (1) or two (2) days old are almost impossible to peel the shell when boiled; it is therefore best to use eggs with more than 1 week old for your Hard Boiled Egg recipe this Easter Sunday or in any occasions you want to prepare Hard Boiled Egg. You also have to consider the sizes of the eggs you are preparing.

Follow the following directions:

Prepare your desired number of eggs for your Hard Boiled Egg recipe.

  • Place them in a boiling container or cooking pot.
  • Pour cold tap water to cover the eggs about 2 to 3 inches deep.
  • Bring it boil in a high temperature. Once the water is already rolling, promptly reduce the heat from full into medium and let it boil for another 10 to 15 minutes for the eggs to be boiled in hard. If you want the eggs to be less hard, boil the egg in less than 10 minutes.
  • After boiling for another 10 minutes, remove the eggs from the boiling water and place them in a container with iced cold water to chill the egg properly. This will help the egg yolk stay at bright yellow color and prevent from having a greenish ring formed in the surface of the yolk.
  • To peel the egg easily, simply crack any parts of the egg and roll it between you palm and remove the shell.

That was the basic steps on how to prepare Hard Boiled Egg for your Easter Sunday recipe. Enjoy cooking. Take note, do not over cook your egg to get the best egg taste.

Dream Catchers: How to make Homemade Dream Catcher and Lucky Charm for your Home

Posted on 18 April 2011 by David White

Dream Catchers were used by the Native Americans long time ago, and until now it is still widely used to ensure that the cradles could sleep peacefully anytime. The users believe that a dream catcher could trap bad dreams and just allowed good dreams to fall onto the person sleeping.

Nowadays, the trend of using a dream catcher has become modernized. Some even hung a dream catcher inside their business building as a decoration or lucky charm. Because they believe that it helps drive away bad elements that surround them.

To make a home-made dream catcher is just easy; you can even personalize it if you want.

Here are some tips on how to make a dream catcher.

Materials needed:

  • Bendable twig
  • String or Yarn (any thread would also do)
  • Thin wire
  • Beads with big holes
  • Feathers
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Needle

Step One:

Bend twigs to form a hoop, overlap both ends then tie it with thin wire to make sure that it is durable.

Step Two:

Wind the string or your desired thread around your hoop. Make sure that you leave no spot of the twig uncovered.

Step Three:

Tie a short length of the string on one part of the hoop. String a number of beads in each loop that you make. Weave the string on your desired design. When you are almost done looping and weaving, string one bead. Make it as the center of your dream catcher. That is the part that catches dreams. When it is already hard to weave by just simply using your hands, use a needle.

Step Four:

Cut 3 4 inches string and tie it on the bottom part of your hoop. Tie 2 (or 3) feathers on each hanging string. You can also string beads on your cut strings before tying the feathers.

If you wish to make it look more beautiful, glue some small shells around your hoop. You can add more decorative materials if you wish to. Cut a few inches string and loop it on the top part of the hoop.  Then, hang your dream catcher at your desired place.
