What is a liquid diet? What is a full liquid diet? Unlike other liquid diet, full liquid diet is more liberal diet than clear diet. Full liquid diet allows only food in liquid form or those which readily become liquid at body temperature. This diet, if planned carefully, may supply a good amount of essential nutrients to your body.
This diet is must not be given for a long period of time. Your doctor may advice the patient to have this diet as transitory diet for not more than two days.
Plan and choose diet that are good sources of protein, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, and minerals. When buying commercially-prepared liquid food, see the labels properly.
Take note that this diet should be done in a small but frequents feedings. You must also avoid coffee, tea, alcoholic beverages and soda drink while having this diet.
