About few weeks ago, when I logged to my Gmail account, I noticed that Google has added new feature in their Gmail apps, the “Send SMS” along with their previous feature the “Call” feature and the chat feature in the Gmail portal. I wondered if the feature only applies to the Gmail users in the United States or is it applicable to all the users worldwide.
I just ignored it at first until today when I received a message from my mobile prepaid provider after loading prepaid load. The message says:
1/2 For loadng ystrday here’s ur FREE info:Gmail is considered one of the best webmail. Now it offers more than 7GB of free storage 4 ur messages &attachments.
2/2 You can now send text messages right from Gmail. Gmail’s “SMS in Chat” feature allows users to send SMS for FREE! Smart subs are charged only P1/reply.
This message caught my attention and in my curiosity, I logged on to my Gmail account and tried this service and I was not mistaken. This service really worked.
