Tips to avoid being scam of the Group Buying sites in the Philippines:
- Do a private research. Find for customers review and look for positive comments and review from the customer.
- Find for a blog or talk to blog owners who already posted about their experiences with any of the Group Buying sites.
- Cross check the Online Promo price found in the Group Buying site with the original price from the advertiser’s website.
- If you see some discrepancy between the prices, then suspect the site is a big scam. You may call their customer service to confirm the price.
- Do not engage in expensive or big amount of online purchases as it is really difficult to take your money back in case you are scammed.
- Do a trial purchase in small amount and when you are satisfied, go for the big deals.

hi there. just to share and give advice: i have a very irritating story with SaveOnPinoy (www.saveonpinoy.com). i purchased a Bohol travel deal, which was eventually cancelled since there was a problem with their contact trav agency. i never knew it was cancelled until i called them to up to plan for the itinerary and flight skeds. it was just then that they told me that i’ll just have a refund. everything was fine with me except that they took a looooooong time to process my refund. i think it was 2 weeks already when they emailed that they will depositing the refund after 11 days (Sept 16). come Sept 16, they just said that the check was available but it was dated Sept 18 because it was processed late! jeez, talk about DELAYS!!! i suggest you keep away from this group buying site if you don’t want hassle in purchasing. they don’t work well and the staff is not well trained in talking with the customers!
DON’T PURCHASE FROM SAVEONPINOY. THEY ARE VERY GOOD AT DELAYING TACTICS. tapos kung hindi ka pa mgffollow-up sa kanila, they will NEVER EVER call you to inform the status of your purchase. SERVICE IS REALLY BAD.
