After many reports came out from the Press, Media, TV stations, Newspapers, Blogs, and Websites, a real story directly from the hostages/victims came out based on the GMA 7 report.
One of the victims revealed that the hostages were planning to Mendoza, the hostage taker, during the 11-hour hostage drama last August 23, 2010 in front of Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park, Metro Manila.Lee Ying-Chuen, one of the hostages, said GMA 7 that the tourist inside the bus were planning to attack the gunman, Mendoza, and wanted to push or kick him out of the bus when he was standing near the door but they were hesitant thinking that the rescuers will settle the situation so soon. The hostages were afraid of the situation but on the other hand they believed Mendoza would not harm nor kill them because the gunman did not point his gun to the victims. He also reiterated he would not harm them.
