Read more ... » has been endorsing Nike since 2008, and recently just because of his remarks against the said latest U.S. bill on same-sex marriage, a lot of pro-gay and lesbian movement has written petition to Nike to end the contract with its endorser, boxing champ and congressman, Manny Pacquiao.
The petition was initiated by Gay Marriage USA via Change.org asking Nike to “say ‘no’ to hate speech” and to withdraw its sponsorship of Pacquiao.

Pacquiao’s answers when he was interviewed about his stand regarding the current same sex marriage bill were Bible based but a lot of the third sex community members did not like his opinion. Moreover, they were exasperated by the bold answer of Pacquiao.

One violent comment from Aimee Sharpe said, “No one who is a public figure, and or, a role model to people, especially children, can be allowed to call for the death of others. The petition is now closed after receiving 4, 868 out of 5, 000 votes and according to Lorrie Adams, who also signed the petition, said: “As a Filipino and as a mother, I am deeply disappointed and outraged at Manny’s inexcusable comments. Freedom of speech also comes with the sense to be responsible for your words, to think before you speak.”
Even some bloggers and twitter users like Tonyo Cruz had criticized Manny’s comments, “We ask Filipino Christian leaders, especially those who are guiding him, to disown bigoted Bible interpretation of Manny Pacquiao.”

Behind the criticism Pacquiao received after saying his side on the issue, many also have supported him for his Biblical stand on gay-marriage and this only shows Manny is a born again and is able to stand his beliefs.
