This month, newly elected Philippine President, Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III received his first monthly salary amounting to almost P63, 000.00. PNoy is one the beneficiaries of the law on wage hike signed by the former President to increase the salary of all the government employees throughout the Philippines.In line with this, will also be the increase on the wage on all the employees in 4 regions in Mindanao provinces amounting to P10-P20 wage hike. Filipinos are hoping for wage increase for both private and public sector.
The wage board in the Davao region, on the other hand, approved a P21 increase in the daily minimum wage, while workers in the Caraga region will get a P10 adjustment in their daily basic pay apart from the integration of their P10 COLA into the daily wage.
In the ARMM, the wage board approved a P12 wage hike for all sectors, bringing the minimum wage from P210 to P222.

Noynoy’s monthly salary is P95, 000 based on the new presidential decree to increase the salary of all government employees. PNoy’s salary is 65% higher than the salary of the ex-president and also equivalent to Salary Grade 33 (SG 33), the salary grade exclusively assigned to the highest position in the Philippine government as per Republic Act 6758 or the Compensation and Position Classification Act of 1989.
