Seventh Day-Adventist Church “777″ Praying for Revival and Reformation In Our Families

Seventh Day Adventist Church is encouraging the church members to make a habit of 777 praying for revival and reformation for the whole family.

My visit to my Alma Mater, the Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP), yesterday was a great blessing. I and my wife went in AUP to scout for possible stall in AUP Talipapa to sell some goods inside the campus. While walking around, I met some brethren there who were very good to us. Our encounter was a great blessing because my mind was opened to spiritual things.

At first, the conversation was all about the business and past experiences. We also talked about our origins until we already shared about our family. The brethren there also shared about the current business trend such as networking and multi-level-marketing or MLM and direct selling.

An old man who is a veteran in networking and according to him he had read a lot of marketing materials and books about networking, he is also a diamond holder in a very popular international networking company–DXN, said that direct selling is a good business nowadays. Moreover he said that networking is the best business because of some reasons however, when a networking company collects membership fee to a member or exchange the membership for a cost, it is considered SCAM. Well, scam is not the focus of this post.

The Church is linked, in our conversation, to a networking scheme.

At the middle of our discussion, Sir Mike mentioned about the Seventh Day-Adventist (SDA) prayer program, the “777 Praying for Revival and Reformation In Our Families” program which is the latest program of the General Conference to encourage all the Seventh Day-Adventist families to do the habit of praying 7 days a week at exactly 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. to bind the Adventist Families together through prayer. This program is also to prepare every Adventist family for the out pouring of the Holy Spirit and the Latter Rain before the Second Coming of Jesus.

What is Revival and Reformation?

According to the New Testament, the church is empowered by the Holy Spirit and these New Testament Churches “powerfully impacted the world with the good news of the gospel in a single generation.” When the New Testament believers are filled with the Holy Spirit, they can share the present truth about the crucified and resurrected Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.

The “The Revival by His Word” is a daily Bible reading plan of the General Conference which started on April 17, 2012 and will end in 2015. Reading a Chapter of the Bible a day is the main target of the program.

The 777 Prayer program applies not only to the adult division but also to the children’s ministry division where children are taught to do the prayer habit.

Everyone is called to pray!
