Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (played by Alfred Molina). Blake can’t do it alone that is why he recruited Dave Stutler for him to have a good battle against his great rival. It will take all the courage Dave can collect to survive his unbending training, to save the city and get the girl as he becomes The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
