DOLE or the Department of Labor and Employments has scheduled the yearly Job Fair on the Labor Day which gives way to those job seekers find available job on May 1, 2011. DOLE has assigned many venues in many areas nationwide.

DOLE would like to give most Filipinos job and to celebrate the Labor day in the Philippines, DOLE has opened venues for its Job Fair activity on May 1, 2011 on the following areas:

Region 1 – SM Rosales, Pangasinan
Region2 – Francisco L. Dy Coliseum, Cauayan Isabela
Region 3 – SM San Fernando; SM Baliwag
Region4A – SM Sta. Rosa; SM Rosario Cavite
Region4B – Divine World College, Calapan City
Region5 – SM Naga
Region6 – SM Iloilo, SM Bacolod
Region7 – SM Cebu City; Cebu International Convention Center; Abellana Sports Complex Cebu City; Macias Sports Complex Dumagete City

Things you need to bring upon going the above job fair venues are:

• Updated Resume (with Photo in possible)-as many copies as you can
• Pen-preferable black
• Extra sheets of paper-bond paper-this is for note taking purposes
• Handkerchief or hand towel-the venues might be very hot so you can not avoid having sweat. You need to be presentable during the interview
• Water to drink
• Cologne-for fragrance

Additional tips during Job interview on Job Fair May 1, 2011:

• Be confident-answer the interview questions properly. Straight to the point. Only answer what is being asked. Do not over state your answers.
• Observe proper eye-to-eye contact. Good eye to eye contact gives better impression to the interviewer of who you are.
• Do not do too much hand gestures, they destruct the interviewer. Put your both hands on your lap and you have to sit up straight.
• For females–Do not wear too much make ups.
• For males-proper grooming.
• Hygiene is one the things the interviewer is looking at any applicants during the interview. remember, you are selling not only your talent, capacity but also yourself. First impression always the last.
• Speaking of hygiene, since interview involves talking, you have to make you have fresh breath. Chew a gum before your turn on interview. This helps take unwanted smell from your mouth.
